 Ned Gravel

A fun, inclusive and challenging event

In beautiful Nederland, CO

Coming back on July 12, 2025 for our biggest and best year yet! 2025 is our 5th year and we are stoked to celebrate with you! Be prepared for the most fun expo yet.

We believe everyone should feel welcomed and encouraged to ride and we are doing our best to make that happen.

Our courses are also some of most challenging. This was not our original intent — but when we started building the course from our regular rides, we realized there were very few other races that have as much climbing, as many technical sections, and all at an elevation of 8,000-10,300 feet. Our courses pay homage to the hardened miners, dreamers and misfits who came before us as we ride through ghost towns, past mines and up mountains.

Be a Hero of the Hills: Volunteer for Ned Gravel!

Get ready for an unforgettable day of gravel grinding action, and you can be right in the heart of it! Ned Gravel is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated volunteers to help us deliver an exceptional experience for our racers on July 12th.

We have a variety of rewarding volunteer roles available, including:

  • Course Marshals: Ensuring rider safety and providing directions along our stunning routes.
  • Aid Station Support: Helping to keep riders fueled and hydrated.
  • Registration Assistance: Welcoming racers and getting them ready for the challenge.
  • Setup & Teardown Crew: Helping to create and pack up the race venue.
  • Parking Help: Help get racers parked and in the right spot
Volunteering for Ned Gravel is a fantastic way to:
  • Be part of a vibrant community event.
  • Get up close to the action of a premier gravel race.
  • Meet fellow cycling enthusiasts.
  • Receive a free Ned Gravel volunteer t-shirt!
  • Enjoy complimentary food and beverages.
  • Earn a free entry to future Ned Gravel races or any race we put on.

Your time and energy are invaluable to the success of Ned Gravel. If you’re ready to lend a hand and experience the thrill from the inside, please sign up today!

Thank you for your support! We can’t wait to see you out on the course!

We are building one of the most inclusive races around.

We believe everyone should feel welcomed to participate, regardless of gender, race or sexual identity/orientation. If we are able to offer a prize purse, it will be equal between Men and Women.

We will also be guaranteeing equal number of spots for elite Men and Women on the start line.

Our course is challenging but is not built for professionals only. We believe it would make a great first race for beginners as well.

Ned Gravel core values:

Inclusivity   Diversity   Fun   Challenge   Respect   Safety

Ned Gravel

was founded out of a passion for riding bikes and for exploring the amazing area we live in. From the very beginning we have sought to bring diversity and inclusion to bike racing. Gravel riding is changing the cycling world and we are proud to play a small part in that by creating space for women and BIPOC athletes.
